Beautiful is some kind of wonderful – and gorgeous, stunning, fabulous, and every other synonym you can think of. I’ve loved everything I’ve seen Chilina Kennedy in and I knew we were in for a treat. What I didn’t know was just how much I’d love this show. The songs are nostalgic yet timeless. The singing is fabulous. The book of the show is incredible. I did not expect to laugh as much as I did. The cast is stellar with Chilina as the shining star. She is a pure joy to watch on stage. Even with
I love looking around and seeing how others of members of the audience are responding to the show; there were so many heads bopping, hands and toes tapping, fingers snapping, and faces with giant smiles. Beautiful runs until May 5 at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto. Catch this one while it’s in town.
Thanks to Mirvish Productions for the media tickets to see Beautiful. As always, my thoughts are my own and I stand by my reviews as my unbiased personal thoughts, whether I’ve paid for the tickets or they are complimentary.
